It seems that the third-person bio is the kind that tends to predominate this section of portfolio sites. You know, the kind that might say something like, 

Ross Alexander Norton is the bravest, boldest, bilingualiest (Brilliantist?) and, not to mention, sexiest copywriter on the market. When not writing masterful copy for world-shaping brands, he likes to take part in a wide range of fascinating hobbies that both fulfill him personally and would most certainly be of special interest to you, dear reader.

At first, bios such as this make me think, "Wow, this Ross guy sounds like a spectacular copywriter and a well-adjusted adult human,” but I soon come to my senses, and remember that, in all likelihood, it was this ‘Ross guy’ who wrote this glowing review about himself in the first place, which makes me like him less.
